DALHOUSIE
Many of the British visited Dalhousie regularly to rejuvenate them selves. In the 1920's, it was a favorite holiday spot, especially with the elite Punjabi community who traveled up from Lahore. What Shimla and Mussorrie were to Delhi, Dalhousie was to Lahore.

Since then this Hill Station continues to safely guard its natural environs which till date are kept to the best of their charms and beauty.
Let us see a few glimpses of the Old glory of Dalhousie, which is still maintained.

Sadar Bazar, DALHOUSIE
An old picture of 'SUDDER BAZAR' Dalhousie. The Sudder Bazar Dalhousie was the area where most of the Indian population lived during the time of the Raj. It still holds a similar look. Nothing can vouch this more than the fact that the movie '1942 - A Love Story' was picturised here and the atmosphere of pre independence India was created here at Sadar Bazar.

Hotel Mountview was the first hotel in town built in the year 1895, then known as 'Bulls Head Hotel'. In the height of British Raj 'Bulls Head' was the premier hotel in town and still is, and had branches at Murree, a beautiful hillstation in present Pakistan.
'The Stiffles' at Rawalpindi and the famous 'Flatties' at Lahore were also run by the same group.
Sh Jeewan Mal Chadha's Son Sh Laxman Dass Chadha eastablished 'Hotel Mountview' which is running with the same family since 1895. It maintains the same tradition of hospitality till date.
